Storyboarding + Scripting

Today is about scripting your instructions. I recommend figuring out if your instructional video is detailing how to use an object, a mechanism, or a process, and then choose which set of questions in Figure 20.1 should guide your writing process (p. 550).


Remember: The storyboard draft you create is only a draft, but this draft will count toward your final grade for this project.


Here's a very simple but finished example. I encourage you to color yours, too, to work on your consistent visual aesthetic.

When finished, start working on your written script and/ or the video you'll bring to our conference session next week. Our conference schedule is as follows:

Attending this conference counts as your attendance in class this week. Please arrive on time and prepared. Bring your storyboard, script, digital draft (the video in progress), and the research you plan to incorporate/ cite (at least three, preferably scholarly, sources).
